For over three decades, we’ve built a reputation as one of South Africa’s most trusted security technology providers. But the time came for our name to catch up with the scope of what we actually do.

The name CellSecure made sense in the 1990s when we were breaking new ground as the first company worldwide to communicate with alarm systems via SMS. For many years thereafter, our identity was tied to cellular technology because that’s where the innovation was happening. But the industry has moved on, and so have we.

Today, our work extends far beyond the mobile networks that shaped our early years. We design, manufacture, install, monitor, and support a wide range of high-performance security solutions, backed by an in-house engineering team and decades of experience across South Africa’s most demanding sectors. 

The name ArxTech reflects this shift. Arx (Latin for fortress) encapsulates the essence of what we offer: strong, future-ready security solutions. And “tech” reflects not just what we build, but how we think.  It’s this integration of security and technology that makes ArxTech a more accurate reflection of who we are today. It also allows us to expand further without being constrained by a legacy name that no longer suits us. 

At the same time, we have centralised our operations into a single business estate in Centurion. This facility now houses our head office, factory, and technical training academy. The integration enables us to shorten lead times, sharpen our support, and ensure all technicians are trained in-house, utilising the same systems we develop and manufacture.

Beyond physical systems, we apply scientific methods to real-world problems to assist in criminal investigations, fraud detection, and evidence-based analysis. We also support law enforcement with specialist training.
