Getting the wiring right is one thing. Understanding the system is another. For technicians working with SmartArx products, this distinction becomes clear on-site, especially when conditions don’t match the plan, when a client poses a question you can’t answer, or when adjustments are needed in real time, and the configuration screen feels less familiar than it should.
That gap is exactly what the ArxTech Training Academy aims to close.
Our systems aren’t “off-the-shelf”. Every SmartArx product is built to integrate across very different environments, from urban homes to corporate campuses and remote farms with large perimeters and limited communications infrastructure. A technician who understands the product, not just the wiring diagram, will make better on-site decisions. That understanding is what the training is designed to produce.
Our training begins with theory, covering site assessment, environmental factors, and installation planning, before a single cable is run. From there, sessions progress to hands-on practical work, covering wiring, device connections, system setup, and full commissioning. Technicians also spend time with our programming software, covering configuration, adding and removing devices, and making real-time adjustments. Each session is delivered by our in-house team and concludes with a formal assessment. Candidates who pass receive ArxTech certification, confirming competency in our systems.
We offer the training at no charge. That’s a deliberate choice, as every installation reflects directly on us, regardless of who installed it.
Sessions run approximately three to four hours, with a maximum of four people per group. The small group size is intentional to keep the practical component hands-on rather than purely observational. Bookings need to be made at least a week in advance. Apply via the website or contact info@arxtech.co.za.
If you or your team are installing ArxTech systems, the question isn’t whether this training is worth half a workday. It’s why you haven’t booked yet.
